Finally good news for Castellon airport. Budget airline Ryanair will be the first carrier to operate scheduled flights from the airport south of Castellon on the Costa Azahar.
Flights start from the middle of September and destinations will be Bristol and London Stansted. There will be three weekly flights to Stansted and two to Bristol. Flights can already be booked via the Ryanair website.
Around 18,000 passengers are expected to use the new routes this year, rising to around 60,000 passengers in the following years.
Flights are not just supposed to operate in the holiday season but all year round.
Ryanair has also implied that they will fly from Castellon to further destinations in other countries in the future.
