Calig

Calig is located eight kilometres inland from Benicarlo, but also has direct road links to Vinaros and Peniscola. This makes it a good base for exploring the coastal areas as well as the interior.

There is a very nice Hermita just outside Calig, also a couple of old churches in the old town. Calig offers a small variety of bars and restaurants, as well as a few shops, banks etc.
It is a prosperous little town and a lot of the old town houses have been refurbished. Also some urbanisations have sprung up around the village and there is a small new hotel within walking distance of the centre.

Calig also offers a nice municipal swimming pool, gardens and tennis court.
