Oliva, like its northerly neighbour Gandia, is split into two parts - the village and old town are a little inland, away from the resort. This is where the similarities end, as Oliva is a lot smaller than Gandia. There are no high-risers, but the beach is mostly lined with villas and smaller apartment blocks. Also the inland part of town is a lot smaller, though there has been some development in recent years. Olivas beach is amazingly long, it runs south almost to Costa Blanca's resort of Denia. |
